The Playstation 2 was a great console, and it is still used by many hardcore gamers today..including yours truly.
There is still a huge PS2 following, and a question that gets asked a lot is if you can burn Playstation 2 games. The answer is yes and it is a lot easier that in years past. There is no need to install any kind of mod-chip. Just have the right game copying software and you can burn Playstation 2 games with just a few clicks of your mouse button.
PS2 games are protected by manufacturers by encoding them with encryption. Again, this is done to prevent pirating and illegal distribution which should never be acceptable. However, if you are the owner of the game, you are permitted to make a backup copy of your game.
If you choose to purchase some game copying software so that you can burn playstation 2 games, then you are in luck, because a program like Game Copy Wizard will burn games for just about any console. It is a safe bet that if you still have and play the PS2, that you have by now also purchased a PS3 or an Xbox 360.
